Spiker's SprintersSpiker’s sprinters was formed back in 2018 in remembrance of my brother “John Spiker“ who lost his 18 month battle with brain cancer earlier that year. John was a graduate of Auburn University in Electrical Engineering he was a loving father of 3, husband and grandfather. He loved the outdoors: fishing, camping, water sports, soccer, running, working out and of course Auburn football. He also loved spending time with the family,. Spiker’s Sprinters does this run every year in honor of his life and the many other’s affected by this disease. Since my brothers passing we have lost other to this disease one of which was a good friend and well known soccer coach to the sport “Ken Headly”. I hope that this day brings money and awareness to fight this disease.
Team Al Walk in honor of Al Poston He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, son , brother, and friend. We love you and miss you every day, Papa Bear.

Team LuluLuluis Karen McVey's family's way of honoring and remembering their Hero and Warrior.  Karen battled brain cancer for almost 3 years.  She always had a smile on her face and always still put others first.  In her time at UAB and at Hope Lodge so touched so many people's lives by offering words of encouragement, reminding them God loved them, and always offering a glimpse of her great big beautiful smile.   There will always be a hole in our hearts and lives without our Hero here on Earth with us, but we know she is watching and looking over us  from Heaven, cheering us on as we pick up the fight she started and continue  together to help find a cure and make her proud!
Team TaylorWe walk and run in memory of Tricia Taylor, and to support efforts to find a cure for those currently fighting brain cancer.
